The rock is named for the wife of a 16th century Scottish lord; according to the story, he stranded her on the rock when she failed to produce a male heir and assumed she drowned, but she was rescued by a passing fisherman. Located on a rock, submerged at high tide, southwest of Lismore Island off the entrance to Loch Linnhe. Accessible only by boat, good views from the ferry between Oban and Craignure on the Isle of Mull. ferry ARLHS # SCO-118 (A 4172)
