Located northeast of Skye and north of Raasay, the island has been uninhabited since the 1920s but is popular as a wilderness vacation destination. The lighthouse is at the northern tip of the island, marking the entrances to the Sound of Raasay to the west and the Inner Sound to the east. Accessible only by boat. ARLHS # SCO-185 (A 3904)
