TR 66 Gelibolu latitude 40° 24' 34.9" N longitude 26° 40' 55" E This lighthouse marks the northern entrance to the narrow portion of the Dardanelles. Gelibolu (Gallipoli) was the scene of an unsuccessful siege by Allied troops in 1915, during World War I. The battlefields are a major tourist attraction, but the lighthouse doesn't get much attention from visitors.
